Pretty in Peplum!

Peplum, we see this trend everywhere!  It has moved it's way into bridal fashion and was all over the runway for the Spring 2013 bridal collections.  We are starting to see some fabulous gowns available for Fall 2012 weddings and we couldn't be happier!

Peplum is not only trendy going into the Fall season, but it also does something that we love...hide a bit of belly bulge to make a smooth silhouette in your gown.  You can't go wrong with any of these dresses.  They are truly spectacular!

Fall Wedding Inspiration!

The weather is less humid, the temperature is dropping and Fall is right around the corner!  Fall happens to be my favorite season.  It stimulates the transition of florals, food and fashion to the more opulent, darker and savory side of mother nature.  There are so many ways to integrate the fall season into your wedding without having a wedding filled with pumpkins and acorns.  We have put together some ideas that will add memorable moments to your decor and menu.

THE LWD: Little White Dress

More and more of my lovely brides are choosing to have a wardrobe change into a fun party dress fit for dancing!  These little dresses are making their way into after parties all over the wedding scene.  We think this is a trend that is here to stay! Not only does this make for a fab photo, it is actually functional for the dance floor and (dare I say it) something you could wear again!

You can go the couture route or off the rack.
The choices are endless, but here are a few of our faves...

You can never go wrong in Marchesa!!

Do you think recent bride, Blake Lively, wore an after party dress like this?!?

SoCo Event's bride Katie looked stunning in Monique Lhuillier

This Antonio Berardi embroidered number proves that you do not always have to go with white!
Theses LWD are off the rack and on SALE!!

Are you wearing a LWD on your wedding day?!?

The Queen of Etiquette Has New Wedding Rules!

There is no denying that Martha Stewart is the modern queen of etiquette.  We all know and love Emily Post, but Emily is not a fan of breaking traditional rules.  Martha, on the other hand, has no fear of going against the norm every once in a while, which is why we love her!

I stumbled upon a great post on Martha's website the other day, "The New Wedding Rules" .  These "Rules" are something that we have always believed in at SoCo Events, but the fact that Martha was stating it to the world, makes all the difference.  Why?  Because people listen to her!
Here's to being YOU at YOUR wedding!

Rule #1: You Don't Have to Wear White

Rule #2: You Can Ask Anyone to Be in Your Party
