"Hello Lover...."

"Hello Lover..." the words the wise Carrie Bradshaw once said to a pair of shoes she saw in the window, can now be uttered by one special bride this Friday at the Engaged! Magazine Bridal Show of the Year.

SoCo Events is beyond excited to be giving one lucky bride the most fabulous pair of Christian Louboutins to wear on her wedding day!

Come and see these beauties at the SoCo Events display at The Hay Adams Hotel this Friday, so you (like Carrie) on your wedding day can have, "the two 'L's', labels and love!"

Engaged Magazine's "A Bridal Event Like No Other..."

So excited to be a part of Engaged! Magazine's, "A Bridal Event Like No Other," on Friday, February 5, 2010! The event is truly like no other. Forget any preconceived notions of entering a hotel ballroom with 100's of vendors' booths lined up like a convention. This event will be taking place in 5 of Washington, DC's top hotels. Brides and company will be ferried to all of the different hotels to be amazed by a different team of vendors at each hotel

To entice you even more, there are luxury honeymoons being raffled off! Paris, Ireland, Hawaii, Bora Bora, and more. This is going to be one that you do not want to miss! I know that my team is planning something beyond fabulous...stayed tuned!

High School Sweethearts

We are so excited that our May 16th wedding is covered in the latest issue of Engaged! Magazine.

Linda and Henry were married at Metropolitan Memorial United Methodist Church and the reception was at Columbia Country Club. This family was so fun to work with, and work with them we did. I think that I almost slept at their house a few nights because of our late night planning sessions ;)

One of my favorite parts of this wedding was the huge fountain made completely out of flowers. I remember during one of our meetings Mr. Gerrish brought the fountain he originally purchased, and I quickly decided it was not big enough. We were going for the "WOW" factor so we needed to go big or go home! Thankfully, Sharone at DaVinci Florist was able to get a much bigger fountain and we brainstormed to create this masterpiece.

Another of my favorite things was the champagne bar, a nod to the bride's love of champagne (which is my obsession as well). We set up a separate bar that just served champagne and had a choice of raspberry, strawberry or peach nectars to mix in. It was such a huge hit that we kept it open all night long!

Thanks Linda and Henry for an amazing ride! Thanks Jennifer Lust for the amazing photos!
