Not only have we JUST launched our new SoCo Events website, but our blog can now be found on our website as well! Please check out our new website and blog HERE!
Good morning everyone! We will be on a week-long blogging vacation starting today. We are finalizing the details for the launch of our new website and can't wait to update everyone next week! Have a fabulous week! xo
I have been waiting to post this for some time now, and I am very excited to share that our tabletop design is featured in the current issue of Grace Ormonde Wedding Style Magazine!
Last winter, I was honored when the Grace Ormonde team contacted me to help coordinate their trip to DC. I immediately put together lists of amazing venues here in our nation's capital that fit the Grace Ormonde style and got to work organizing.
Once Grace chose the Anderson House and the St. Regis Hotel from my list, Amaryllis and I started the designing process.
I hope you enjoy the end result as much as we do!
Thank you to all of the amazing vendors who put in a tremendous labor of love for this shoot
When a band is so wonderful, they need to be shared!
A few weeks ago I was lucky to work with Rhythm Collective at my wedding in Nantucket. The band from Elan Artists truly "wowed" me! They not only packed the dance floor, but were great at reading the crowd and gave them exactly what they wanted!
My favorite moment was when the sax, trumpet and tambourine players lead the New Orleans' traditional "second line" to the after party. Pictures and videos of that to come soon!
Check out their video below!
By the way, Daniel, the band leader is amazing to work with and his version of "Pumped Up Kicks," may just be better than the original!
We were not able to make it up to New York City for Bridal Market Week to see the Spring 2013 Collections, but we found an amazing recap from the team at Solutions Bridal. The Spring 2013 Collections are to die for! We couldn't get enough of Rivini,Watters & Watters and (of course) Marchesa!
I am working with my 2013 brides on their Save the Dates, and several different styles have emerged. I have never had a specific "Save the Date Style," as I have two schools of thought...
I absolutely adore when the save the date is an introduction to the feel of the wedding and the first piece of a beautiful stationary suite. On the other hand, I LOVE the idea of using the save the date as an opportunity to be fun and creative. If there ever is a place to do something "cute" and "fun" within a formal wedding, the best place to do it is with your 'Save the Date!
Love the motif that is carried throughout this Ceci New York stationary suite
The Save the Date here is fun, but still coordinates with the other pieces
Lehr and Black is known for their celebrity clientele and these stunning save the dates show why!
The flourish from above is seen again in the beautiful invitations
Now, onto the fun...
How cute would this be with a certain red soled shoe?!?
Such fun with a giant calendar!
Use your engagement session as a opportunity to get "the image" for your dave the date
I love how simple and sweet this save the date is. Very clever!
